Camera Operator - Surf Photography and Video

The surf cameraman is responsible for filming and photographing surf sessions, capturing all the surfer/s’ maneuvers, as well as all the surrounding beauty of the location. The professional must have technical knowledge of filming, as well as practical skills to operate equipment under challenging conditions, such as constant movement and exposure to salt water.

Responsibilities:

   - Capture images of surfers in action, both in the water and on the beach, using high-definition cameras and drones.

   - Work as a team with the surfers to ensure that the footage meets the desired quality standards.

   - Use specialized equipment, such as underwater cameras, GoPros, drones and stabilizers to create dynamic images.

   - Control the quality of the image, adjusting the exposure, focus and composition while moving with the surfer or following their maneuvers.

   - Edit in order to produce the final content, always ensuring that the rhythm and intensity of the surfing are well represented.
